Kinship and Beyond
We gather thoughtful and inspiring art and nature ideas across perspectives about our kinship, belonging, and responsibilities with nature. Learn more about the Kinship Book Series, podcast, events, and other Center for Humans and Nature publications.
Kinship with the More-Than-Human World Podcast
In partnership with Wisconsin Public Radio's To the Best of Our Knowledge, we are exploring the theme of kinship in a special series of podcast episodes. Leading scientists, philosophers, and writers illuminate ways in which personhood transcends the human species and shows how kinship practices can deepen our care and respect for the more-than-human world.
Kinship Book Series
A kindred spirit to our online art exhibition, Kinship: Belonging in a World of Relations is a lively series that explores our interconnections with the living world. The five volumes—Planet, Place, Partners, Persons, Practice—offer essays, interviews, poetry, and stories of solidarity highlighting the interdependence between humans and nonhuman beings.
Kinship Events
